The Health Practice team at Oxford Policy Management (OPM) is seeking National Health Consultants (Health Practice) on a part-time, fixed-term consultancy basis, contingent on the successful outcome of a bid for an upcoming project.

The team will focus on
The National Health Consultant will support the implementation of the climate and health vulnerability assessment study, with a specific focus on HIV, TB, and malaria. Key responsibilities include:
Identify and collate relevant national and subnational health data, reports, and key documents.
Support qualitative and document review activities in French or Portuguese, as required, and contribute to English-language reporting.
Engage and coordinate with the Ministry of Health and other relevant national stakeholders to facilitate data collection and validation.
Contribute to project deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with project objectives.
Desirable (Bonus) Responsibilities:
Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative research, including literature reviews and analysis of key health documents.
Support synthesis of findings related to climate vulnerability, health systems, and disease program resilience.
Collaborate with the Global Fund and partners, applying knowledge of Global Fund investments and HIV/TB/Malaria (HTM) programmes.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, environmental health, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience working in the health sector, particularly in data collection, policy research, or health systems strengthening.
Proven ability to identify, collate, and analyse health data and policy documents.
Strong working relationships with the Ministry of Health and other relevant national stakeholders.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French or Portuguese, with the ability to conduct interviews and review documents in one language and produce written reports in English.
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and proactively while collaborating effectively with remote, multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research, including literature reviews and data analysis.
Familiarity with climate and health linkages, including vulnerability assessments and resilience planning.
Prior experience working with or supporting the Global Fund and solid understanding of Global Fund investments and HIV, TB, and malaria (HTM) programs.
Experience contributing to international development or consultancy projects in low- or middle-income country contexts.
